Sebelum makan malam tadi, lagi sekali aku di hidangkan dengan makanan percuma. Sekotak donut dari kedai bernama Big Apple. (terima kasih)
Aku bukan penggemar donut. Apa-apa yang berkrim (seperti coklat contohnya) dan ber-icing, aku memang tak berminat dan aku anggap benda ini sebagai satu rahmat, kerana sifat aku ini menjadikan aku tak perlu risau akan jadi gemuk atau berlemak hasil makan donut dan coklat.
Tapi tadi, ketika aku memegang kotak donut, aku terpukau dengan aromanya, bau donut-donut di dalam kotak itu memang lain dari yang lain. Menyelerakan.
Cepat-cepat aku buka kotak...cis!
Aku sudah terkena! Donut-donut di dalam semuanya ditabur dengan keju! di-laced dengan white chocolate dan di tabur dengan keju. Dan keju lebur itulah yang menghasilkan aroma tadi.
Aku menggelengkan kepala, kagum juga jadinya, sebab pengusaha donut sudah berjaya menemui cara membuatkan aku mula consider untuk mahu makan donut lagi. Sambil geleng-geleng sudah dua donut aku telan.
Dunia kapitalis donut memang licik, kan?

I watched the vids but I was still thinking about the donuts. Even when I was switching off the lights last night pun masih pikir about the donuts. When I woke up this morning pun the first thing I thought of was the donuts. When I looked at my Simpsons poster and ternampak Homer, I terus teringat donut tu lagi!

Lagipun aku tak suka masuk kedai yang kena beratur untuk dapat makanan.
"Kedai ni bagi makan free ke apa?" aku selalu tanya.
Krispy Kreme original glazed. Those things are dangerous. One taste and you'll be hooked. For a few days at least.

I feel you man. Memang leceh nak beratur utk beli sedozen donat. Aku makan pun sebab orang belikan, tak tahu lah kalau pem-belanja tu dapat komisen untuk kasi aku ketagih donat. haha

Krispy Kreme original glazed! Right on man! Memang addictive, used to consume on a weekly basis - even though I find them a wee bit too sweet.
The sweeter the better cause daddy's got a sweet tooth. I love dunking them in a large mug of hot chocolate.
Actually I don't find the glazing to be too much out of the ordinary. It's the amazingly soft dough. How do they do it? It just melts in your mouth. Unlike those so called 'designer' donuts that look enticing but are tougher than stale bread (sometimes). KK's OGs won't become tough for days. Perhaps even past a week out in the open. Usually a dozen of those won't last longer than an hour.
Everytime on the way back home, the bus I take stops in front of a tesco metro which has this KK donut counter, visible from inside the bus. Each time the bus stops there, I'd be going in my head "Should I, should't I, should I, shouldn't I...". Usually when it stops on "Damn it!" the bus would have already moved on.
Quite sad when a donut can make you use that much brain power, on the donut. If a donut can make you figure out how to achieve world peace, that'd be something.

But I don't think I'll be dunking my donuts into hot choc anytime soon... if I do that, I'd be having brain-freeze with each bite I think.
Hey, who knows man, donuts can make people line up for hours. With that kind of power, maybe they can actually play a part in mankind's quest for world peace :P
i selalu nak beli j.co donut ni tapi tak jadi, sebabnya tak sure halal ke tak. glaze tu my friend yg penah keje bakery cakap jenis buat dari gelatin, n biasa nak kasi dough lembut is lemak binatang (mono and di-glicyride) so khuatir binatang tak sembelih atau pakai lemak haiwan paling popular dan murah. ada tak sesape tau samada j.co dah dpt certificate halal ke tak sbb kat indon masih tak dpt lagi menurut rakan2 kat sana (masih jadi isu sbb diorang particular skit pasal isu halal). sorry kalau menyinggung sesape just nak tau sbb teringin gak nak makan
heeeheeeheee. guess what. i'm going to be working for a certain world-renowned donut chain store starting this thursday. rhymes with frisky freme. :P sue me for being lame, but i'm getting my six free donuts per shift, woot!
